Falling Water

Working in a team of two, myself and a colleague created this architectural representation of Frank Lloyd Wrights ‘ Falling Water’. The iconic building made to scale at 1:100 was modeled using modern software to realize and create accurate drawing which we used to laser cut the structure. We used mixed sand and glue to create elements of the building that are slate in the real world carved from the mountain side. By using a mixture of materials such as polyurethane foams, and various resins, we chose to resemble only the rock surroundings and the water elements as we believed the foliage would not best fit our structural representation.
